2009 Passport Requirements
On Monday, June 1, 2009, the U.S. government will implement the full requirements of the
land and sea phase of the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative. These rules require U.S. citizens
entering the United States at sea or land ports of entry to have a passport,
passport card, or WHTI-compliant document. A passport is already required for
air travel.
Since passports are valid for entering and exiting the country from
ALL foreign destinations, ALL travelers, including those traveling by air, land or
sea in the Western Hemisphere, are encouraged to obtain, and travel with,
a passport.
We at Antietam Travel Service strongly recommend that our
clients obtain a passport as soon as possible. Please call

ATS is Turning Green
Although we at Antietam Travel
Service have always strived to conserve natural resources by
recycling where possible and being energy efficient, Old Farm
Station, our shopping center, has taken another step to make
recycling easier. We have added a single stream recycling dumpster
provided by Waste Management, Inc. Waste Management uses solid
municipal waste to generate power, which reduces the volume of the
waste by 90 percent and saves space in local landfills while
providing an economical alternative to the use of fossil and nuclear
fuels.
We are now recycling about 8 cubic yards of mostly cardboard and
paper - but also aluminum and plastic - each week center-wide. That
may not sound like a lot, but if all local businesses would recycle
their waste, there would be a lot less paper and cardboard going
into Frederick's landfill.
